Crafting Percentages - Success & Failure Rates 8 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 6  
Crafting seems to be a mystery to many in Tabula Rasa so I decided to try and clear things up a bit. I've spent some time testing and recording success and failure percentages of various types of weapons and armor, below are my results:

* All percentages are based on a crafting clone with max crafting skills (All Level 5) and patch 1.4

Level - % Success - % Destroying
================================

Purple [5] - 25% - 18%
Purple [4] - 60% - 10%
Purple [3] - 100% - 0%
Purple [2] - 100% - 0%
Purple [1] - 100% - 0%

Blue [5] - 13% - 21%
Blue [4] - 30% - 17%
Blue [3] - 72% - 7%
Blue [2] - 100% - 0%
Blue [1] - 100% - 0%

Green [5] - 6% - 23%
Green [4] - 15% - 21%
Green [3] - 36% - 16%
Green [2] - 86% - 3%
Green [1] - 100% - 0%


I will update this as I gather more data

Thanks for the info. I still won't get into crafting just yet, hoping future patches will change that.

Have there been any updates to crafting? Or, do these percentages still hold true? I'm thinking about grinding prestige to buy a bunch of purp items from the grey vendors, for lvl 15, 20, and 25 clan characters. Then I was going to look into crafting those items... should I wait until more patches come out for crafting?

As of now they are still accurate. It's still going to be a couple of months before any new crafting goes live. As far as I know we'll see the first iteration of the revised crafting system in D12 on the test server.

I can't wait to see the new system - really hoping to see it in D12, too.

I am practically drooling for the chance to make the "perfect" sniper gear... oh that will be the day... (dreams of crafting prototype stealth armor with perfect maxed mods)....
